BTW, in the end of it’s live Fane tied to do flat loudspeakers. The try to convince that it was not the computer-grade but the real deal. Conceptually, if it properly implemented (a big opened question) then the flat design might be very interesting ...

I take it back, 100Hz is pushing it regarding horns and compression drivers I know of. I can't imagine a compression driver reaching the midbass muscle of the Fane S 8M. And I don't see why one should try, when the Fane reaches 120Hz so effortlessly....

Just a quick note.I tired a JBL 3" compression driver 2490h model with original Titanium diaphragms on a 120 hz Tacrix horn. I got a response down to 200 hz. How did it sound? It sounded good clear and transparent but it lacked a little tone imho...

I’m not convinced at this point that it is good – I need to see it more in context of everything else - but the initial results are very promising. What I do now, I keep the compression Fane 8M in horn but I very dramatically increase dumping of it...
